Wonder if his decision to leave the RFL will have any effect on future direction of the game?
See he is still staying in a WC cttee post.
Don’t think he has been the best advert for the sport in the public eye so let’s see who they come up with as a replacement.

This is an ideal opportunity for the RFL to introduce new blood. Someone from another sport with some vision and connections outside the M62 corridor.
Sadly the reality is that the people who will make the appointment will put in one of their own and nothing much will change. Just the name on the door. Oh! And pie sales will go down in Leeds..

Barry Hearn being suggested from some corners, highly unlikely but someone who can make darts as popular as he has done might be the impetus that the game needs.

It’s sort of on thread as woods was apparently responsible for the super 8s idea. But see in the press the future sky deal might be dependant on some type of promotion/relegation being retained
