Every time I visit the folks I don't have a problem streaming media (Netflix etc) they don't have the faster lightstream either.
it depends where in hull they are, im hu4 area and the kcom engineer told me that because of the area and location, the equipment isnt strong enough, they had/have to repair an exchange box and one of the lines connecting to the houses where we are
streaming/online gaming atm is unplayable until we get lightstream, which again i was told we would be one of the last as they need to put in new telephone poles all around the postcode area im a resident at
No, I haven't missed the point. The NRL moving to live streaming is great, KCOM are rubbish, but you're all still paying for it. It's like complaining about a pub, whilst you're in it. You don't like KCOM then don't use them, it's not rocket science.
It's only great for ppl who want to consume their rugby by connected appliances. A lot of people wont have that and / or dont want that.
So it may be "great" for you - but ro restrict a service to JUST online streaming is not great at all.
just cancelled 2 subscriptions mine and the one I pay for my father Its a shame as i thought the coverage was quite good , will we still get commentating by Rabbits and Sterlo on the new NRL streaming

I think Premier will lose a lot of subscriptions because of this. ;(

It's called progress, technological evolution if you like. If people don't want it thats there choice, but the vast majority do, what are people going to do when ALL media is streamed in about 10 years time?

Proof? or opinion ? and progress for progress's sake is not great.
The atamic bomb was progress ... but should be use them regularly? Just because one can do something does not mean one should.
Like I say - I watch ALL my media vis streaming these days - but I don't think this is a good idea. its a limitation of choice, which in anyones book is NOT a good thing.
And to answer your question about in 10 years time - hopefully there will be some sort of centralised media BOX (akin to a SKY or VIRGIN box) thats easy enough to use and can cope the myriads of different streaming formats out there atm, so that the technically endowed can at least participate in your vision of the future.
