Any news on Anthony Gigot's status at Catalans? He was rumoured to be appealing his ban in the New Year.

Doesnt his ban end early in the season anyway? Probably not worth his effort if that is case.

2 year ban isnt it? so early 2019? Or have I got my dates mixed up.

He isn't contracted to Catalans anymore. I do reckon he will come back as soon as he is allowed to play again. Just a question of when.

I think Mead will probably play there as long a Broughton and Thornley remain fit.

Oh yeah Mead defo number 1 full back. Gigot would go lovely in a centre if he comes back.

When he is eventually allowed to play, Anthony Gigot should definitely be moved to the centres with Mead at full back. That would give the team a lot of strike power in the outside backs, with Jodie Broughton, Fouad Yaha and Lewis Tierney competing for two wing positions.

But the question is whether Gigot will be allowed to play in 2018, as a result of a successful appeal, given his 2 year ban for some unknown offence.
