That is cringe worthy. Completely unfunny and unnecessary. Articles like that do nothing but harm to RL.

a. It is funny.....
b. It is necessary......and it's in a paper that has a fleeting relationship with any sport other than fox hunting, Cricket and Union....which leads to

Yes, I did read it. And I found most of it to be pathetic. Snidey chip on the shoulder stuff about rugby union. Let's all laugh at the fat kids that play rugby union. Hilarious? No, pathetic, sad and embarrassing.

Oh, boo hoo nobody has noticed that there's a RL world cup being played. More like they have noticed but they don't care. Just like the Aussies didn't care enough to even fill a 30000 stadium for a world cup match between Australia and England. England RU could get more than that for a game against Narnia.

I'm not going to let you and the pathetic Bill Burrows drag me into this crap though. You can both pat yourselves on the back at how amusing the article is. I think it's pathetic and I'm sure so will most people who like both codes of rugby and want both to be a success. Rugby union shouldn't even be getting a mention right now. They had their world cup two years ago.

Instead I'm going to be positive and get behind the England RL team and the fantastic players in that squad. They're my team and I'll support them just as I support England at football, cricket, rugby union and the rest. I've been watching those "five minutes you didn't see" videos. Absolutely superb. Watching O'Loughlin when Tonga almost scored that try late on. You could see how much it means to him and the others. I can't wait for Saturday morning.

This was a hilarious send up of rugby union, and a promo for rugby league.

I hope that Prince Harry read it, and shares it with meritorious Meghan Markle.

Isn't the main thrust of that article that RL is better than RU, but that it's not promoted properly - which is pretty much what is said on here on a weekly basis?

That said - it's not especially well written, but that's no terrific surprise given the paper it was published in.

I liked it. I thought it was funny.
But anyone not interested in rugby won't read it and any Union fan will still think Union is better and that we have a chip.
