Has anybody heard the updated version of the old Wigan rugby song? It's been released by the club as a Wembley charity song with proceeds split between Wigan Youth Zone and Joining Jack. It is available for preorder now and will be officially launched at next week's game. Apparently it only takes about 8000 downloads to make the top 40 so lets get behind it and get the club on national radio! "Old Wigan song" never thought of it being old but I guess it is 30yr old so yeah. I've still got the original on vinyl, far better than any download, well it is once I can get the two pence to balance on the stylus arm

Made me giggle this mate. Hard to believe its 30 years s old! Was good to hear the South stand signing the chorus last night.

That's what I thought, 30yrs sounds like ages ago yet I can still remember singing it on the popular side bang on half way Yep and I did join in last night , albeit using the "old words"

You would think that for the cost and the coverage the club would get they would buy the downloads themselves.

This song is number 72 in the iTunes Charts already! Let's get it into the top 40, it'll be great for the charities, the club and the town if it ends up on national radio.
