Final score Lonon 38 Wigan 26
Beaten by a much bigger side. The Wigan side was mainly 1st year U17's and really struggled to hold London when they were close to the line. Two long stoppages in play for what looked like a bad neck injury to Joe Shorrocks and then to one of the London players. Hope they are both o.k.

Didn't see this game, but have always been impressed with Shorrocks when I've seen him play, hope it's not too serious.

London had some raw but talented athletes, many of African heritage by the looks of it. The big prop Lewis Bienek is a beast.

The right centre Jacob Ogden? was outstanding and caused Wigan no end of problems.

It seems that Wigan have been running with a very young team for a few games now. Obviously the aim is to bring through the next but one generation so there will be physical mismatches. Having said that some of the London players took some stopping.

For the last few seasons London have troubled us and given us a good game. They always have some big athletic lads, especially some of the lads of African descent. It would be good if we could tap into the supply of young players from down South a bit more. I think the last player we had from down there was Jamie Acton who showed a lot of promise and is now doing well at Leigh.

Clubb? Though not exactly a youngster by the time he came here, he is a London youth product.

I was thinking more along the 16-21 age range who haven't been picked up by any RU clubs or the Broncos.

Sarginson is probably a better example than Clubb but was still an established player at the Broncos when we signed him.
