I think that the injured players Bird, Baitieri, Broughton, Inu and Horo could have made a difference if they had played. The team is going to underperform against every other team while they are out.

That's like Wigan saying we would have won with a bigger margin if Tomkins x2, Manfredi, Gelling, Gildart, Bateman, Clubb, etc were fit. You can only play with what's available to you. Invest more in the youth and you will see the rewards in the future. Stop buying over the hill NRL players. Wigan (and the rest of SL) have made that mistake time and again.

Hello all .Here is my belated report. I have not seen any T.V. replays. We started very badly and conceded 2 long distance tries. Gigot's attempted tackle for the second one was pitiful. We caught up with the aid of 2 high bombs that Escare-surprise surprise could not deal with. However Gigot showed that he was just as hopeless at the start of the second half .Amazingly-given the run of play we then took the lead .However,we had been very vulnerable through the middle all match and collapsed thereafter.
As you will all know I observe Duport like an eagle and have reported in the past how he never goes for a high ball-offensive or defensive - but stands still with his arms raised at 45 degree angles.Why I do not know. Last Sunday his worst nightmare materialised . A high ball came over his head from the back and just missed his nose.Needless to say he was unable to react and let the ball bounce when it was easier to score.Please please please take him away from centre.
On the whole we did not play badly and Myler and Walsh were again excellent. I fear that Casty lacks the speed and the skill to play loose forward. They have lots of injuries too but their depth of talent is much greater than ours. I shall be at wakefield where the Bird is due to return .

Addenda.Having seen the replay Escar was only responsible for the first howler. I would add that Aiton had another excellent game and that Yaha's defence is improving.
