Crude and slow Whino, your attack was no better than that of a clumsy child.

Re: Chris Caisley ... LIAR? : Tue Jun 26, 2012 8:17 pm
At times like these i wish we could all be allowed to say whatever we want on these forums because i need to F***in* swear!!

Like what has already been stated time and again it just seems to me that us, the loyal supporters have been taken for a set of T**ts!

Hood was daft enough to sell the ground to the RFL without (as it seems) taking the appropriate legal advice as to what the implications would be for the club. Caisley (who arguably could be blamed for getting us into this sh*t in the first place with Harris-gate) removes Hood, comes in, fades into the background and feeds the fans with rubbish for a month or so before taking us into administration, possibly oblivion!!!!

Annoyed slightly!!

I think I must be going mad reading all these posts. I have never met either Mr C or Mr H and I have no reason to like or trust either (and at the moment feel too heartbroken about the whole thing to care about anyone) but I do know that I was lied to by Mr H when he said that we were OK after the sale of Odsal, when he said that if I pledged my £100+ we'd be Ok etc etc. I was quite clearly, quite definitely and without doubt lied to by him. To date Mr C has never directly lied to me that I'm aware of (although his hints about potential investors comes close I have to admit). He may be as dishonest, evasive and incompetent as PH but I haven't listened to him directly misleading me over the last few months - and I have listened to PH doing exactly that. What strikes me forcibly, though, is that people who have actually met and had discourse with both men always seem to want to think the worst of CC and the best of PH - suggesting one is a much more amiable person than the other. Sadly amiability won't get us out of this mess and, frankly, I'd follow Satan right now if he could avoid liquidation and give me the opportunity to continue to support a club I've been attending since the 1940s (yes, the 1940s - I was taken to Odsal to see my first game in my pram in 1947!). Those posters who know both characters and are always ready to brand CC as a villain and PH as just misguided, can you honestly say that OBJECTIVELY, the latter is not just as bad as the former? And in the end, does it matter? All I care about is that my beloved club survives.

I doubt anyone but a true fan would invest in a club that doesn't make much money with £1.2million haning over it's head.

I always defended Peter Hood in that he inherited a mess, but he has run the club into the ground. You don't run £1.2 milliondebt because your unlucky or had a bad couple of seasons, its bad management. First we were told we by Hood that the sale of Odsal wasn't because we were skint and we could have carried on regardless. LIE. Then we were told that we we get the 500k to plug the overdraft gap we would be safe. LIE.

I'm not saying Caisleys a knight in shining armour, but he's not the one t blame for this and he certainly hasn't lied to the fans. Hood did.

I am hoping and preying that someone buys the club i love now.

I don't hold Chris Caisley responsible on his own it's the entire shareholding TBH. Hopefully they are on the way out making this the best thing that's ever happened for the club.

Or is that just wishful thinking? However much I expected this I feel absolutely sick to the pit of my stomach. It's like someone punched me in the stomach at 11:00 this morning and I'm still reeling from it.

One thing I am certain of is though and that is that the new owners won't show their hands until the last minute which means we're in for an horrendous ten days. But we're just the mugs that pump our money into the club so who give's a sh17!

To be fair it really wasn't hard to work out this would happen irrespective of the £500k being raised. More importantly why on earth would you trust anybody who had gotten the club into such a mess with another half a mil? It really wasn't hard to take everyone for tits that's for sure. Not to mention the constant warnings from other fans....

I have been thinking if PH's intentions with the first £500,000 was to just clear the debt that himself and Bennet had given personal guarantees against.

I do hope this is not the case!

Neither would seem to be a person you would trust - Hood with the stadium deal, the pledge etc., Caisley with the non existent plan, oops sorry - situation much worse than I was told - strange to think the largest shareholder has so little power or influence!!
Hang their heads in shame to what they've done to my club, if it was a choice of Championship with a total new regime or Super League with these guys involved - honestly think I would vote for the championship - this crap does my head in! I've never bought a Euromillions ticket - I'm going to buy a few this week!!

Most of the £500k went to pay the Jan, Feb and then the march PAYE, and some of the April Salaries. The former to stop HMRC from winding up the club, the latter so we still had a club. The rest was to replace the bank facility which the bank had pulled.

Quit worrying!

Btw, Caisley did NOT lie.

The reason people THINK he did, is because they recall what they THOUGHT he said, not what he ACTUALLY said.

As I have said all along, he was smart enough to not actually promise anything, just to leave people thinking he had.
