Just seen it. From the replay Anthony England wipes him out with a good shot to the shoulder but doesn't complete the tackle tho the player was prone. Dickens (legally) follows it the tackle and agressively (but legally) drops on him finishing the tackle.
Look thru the vid, you see it happen a few times thru the game from both parties.
If either player was cited for that tackle I would have been miffed. Leigh do have the right to cite players if they feel foul play was perpetrated. From what I understand neither players or coach wished to do that on friday.
It was a proper blood n snot game of the old school. No quarter asked or given. We've had players injured this year in what initially looked to be dodgy tackles but after review were simply sustained in the high octaine collision sport we watch.
The actions of Rangi Chase was a deliberate and cynical attempt to injure a player - that's different. I saw nowt from either team that warranted a citation on friday.
I try as best as I can to remain objective and try to avoid the blue n white tinted specs. If I saw it aggressive, daft, foul play, etc - I'd say so - see posts following Tim Spears dismissal v Batley and Ingy's red at Hunslet.
This one I think the ref called right - as apparently did player and coach. [I wasn't party to those conversations so can only post anecdotally].
