I don't buy this "I am a rugby fan therefore I go for the game" mentality. In Hull you are either FC or kr.
If you are that desperate to see a game then go and watch West Hull, Myton Warriors, Skirlaugh etc.......
The quality of the game will be far different. (cue predictable jokes about KR being cr*p!)
In Hull, you're either FC or KR (with a very insignificant minority just being neutral). That doesn't mean you can't watch the other (and cheer on their opponents).

I've been to see plenty of games that don't involve Hull FC (and have paid to get in), just that I would NEVER pay to go to caravan park as I really object to any of my hard-earned money going to that bunch.
I don't have a quotadex like Mrs B, or a string of bookmarked threads to pull up at an apposite moment. Most of the threads in question end up in the Trash anyway. Suffice it to say that there have been similar threads on the Rovers board when our positions have been reversed.
There's no moral high ground to be had here. Sports fans are pretty much the same whatever club or sport they follow.
Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand Workin' in the dark against your fellow man But as sure as God made black and white What's down in the dark will be brought to the light
Not even a thread called forward pass but we dont care ? Our kid said you drank mild not bitter
I'm not bitter, I actually was enjoying your 'bang' thread, it was vert amusing until it was locked. Some right idiots on it though Your kid was right, I am mild, also cool and laid back.
It seems the main issue is fans paying money into Rovers coffers, which is fair enough.
What if we were allocated a section, where we would take the money for them if we sold them, in return for a section in the away stand at our games for Rovers where they would take the receipts?
This way, if you decide to go and cheer on Rovers opponents, you're actually paying money into FC's pockets.

I think a lot of the more blinkered posters are missing this point, you don't have to be supporting FC or Rovers if you did this, I would quite happiliy go to see FC, against the better teams especially if Rovers didn't have a game, but wouldn't be supporting them. However like the OP says it is a tad expensive, especially if your full family are into their RL, to support your own team, without the expense of paying to go to extra live matches. The biggest problem I could see is the outcry, probably from the blinkered posters and their ilk, that anyone taking up an offer like this would be paying less than them. Maybe if the cost was made the same as a home pass holder pays as an average price per game would work, but might not be a big enough saving to make people take up the offer.
When I was younger I used to go watch Rovers on occasions. Not because I wanted to watch them per se, but just to watch a good game of rugby. Ok this was back in the 80's when both had very good teams.
Similar for me in the 80's. I'd see the dobbins at times if there wasn't a Hull game, although you can guess who I was cheering for.
That was then, fierce rivals but but run by directors capable of sportsmanship and fair play. Since that time we've seen them try to bump off Hull (hello Barry Lilley) and then descend further to the current depths plunged by that low down piece of scum Hudgell. I wouldn't urinate on them now even if they were on fire, much less give them a penny of mine. Bankruptcy can't come too soon for them.
