I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.

Just got back from the game. Gutted, angry, furious....... :FRUSRATED:

Most other SL clubs would have put Leeds to the sword in the first half.

Our inability to retain possession of the ball and TACKLE (two major elements of RL) lost us this game.

Gutted is a major understatement

I really had high hopes for a top score in which the did manage 10 more than I expected but to let in 44 and lose it,

the thread I started a bit back of having a chance of a top 8 finish is well and truly gone, with the bulls next week we could of turned heads

lets just try and take some positives from the high score we managed, defense we will have to seriously have to work on

Eh? Elston said this
To go to headingley and score 40 shows how far we have come this season great turn out again from fans who were entertained and proud

You think there's something wrong with that do you, taking the mickey, really? Glover also said it was a great game and said how far we've come, can't see what you're problem is tbh because their right we have come along way since last year, even taking into consideration that we lost. I'm also pig sick we lost but come on no need to overreact.

What position are we in now exactly? I'd have thought we're about where we should be going on the squad we have. Some fans really have got a bit ahead of themselves for some reason.

Have to say I have fully enjoyed the last 2 games more than I have any games for a long time. Yes last night was abysmal from a defence point of view but some of the attacking stuff was great to watch. Aiton is an absolute machine and should be at hooker for the full 80 rather than being moved around to accomodate others. Smith was aslo brilliant at times and if everyone took the ball in like Cockayne and Amor then we'd be a much better team. Not sure what Mathers was doing and you wont win a game if you gift the opposition as many tries as we did last night.

Some people are going OTT with this. It's Leeds at their home ground, yes we almost one, but again it's Leeds, and they were desperate which IMO makes them even more difficult to bear. However I'm glad we managed to post 40 points on the Champions, and I'll agree with Elston and Glover's comments.

Pretty much agree with all comments here, definitely the one that got away.
The game was lost in the first half where we basically dominated the game and yet we managed to go in at ht level.
Mathers had an absolute mare of a game (apart from the touchline tackle just before HT) but to dominate possesion and territory so much and still allow them to score 4 tries was awful.

The one positive from the game was our attack and we looked dangerous with ball in hand.
Tackle bags out ready for bradford and learn to put pressure on our last tackle kicks, gutted :DEPRESSED:

Re: What a missed opportunity...... : Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:23 am
Key issues

I dont think we gave a penalty away in the first 30 odd minutes then Silverwood caned us from the 'knock on' from Leeds on the halfway line when he penalised us for off side.

Giving possession up after we took the lead 30 24 Leeds dominated and our handling under pressure was poor.

The decision to give Leeds the scrum and then into a penalty that put us 8 points behind

Bad luck two kicks that reulted in open play for Leeds to score 12 points, the knock onleading to their gift of 6 points in the first half, the pass from Ali that went to ground and the forward pass that never was to Fox.

I really enjoyed it last night and although gutted we lost I would watch a game like every day of the week.

Re: What a missed opportunity...... : Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:28 am
On another day 40 points would have been more than enough to secure victory not a problem. However, them whinos will know that they've been in a game this morning. As for us, lets take our frustration out on Bradford on Sunday as we have some unfinished business with them, I still haven't forgotten about their phantom try that they scored against us at Belle Vue earlier this season (the one Brett Kearney "scored" when he was clearly held up and when did eventually ground the ball, he wasn't evenbin the in goal area, never mind on the tryline. Yet that numbskull video ref Ian Smith called that a try?!?!?!). That incident sullied the game and changed it in Bradford's favour. Listen Bradford, you're only chance of beating us this Sunday is if either your best mate Ian Smith is reffing or if the ref happens to be Thierry "Seven Tackles" Aliabert. This is payback time!!!!!

It was a missed opportunity, but some of the dummy-spitting on here is totally irrational.

We went 12 down from soft, breakaway tries but turned it around; we more than matched Leeds in the forwards and our backs were creative, showed flair and made some excellent decisions. But for a couple of keystone cops moments and some ridiculously one-eyed referreeing decisions, we'd have come away with the spoils and Brian Mac would be facing a very tough day indeed.

I'm disappointed, but the statement quoted above is ridiculous.
