Just put a bet on italy to win the tournament.

I have to revise my earlier opinion about england. They will struggle to get out of the group. That final game against ukraine will be such a tough, hostile atmosphere with ukraine playing like their lives depend on it. Ukraine will need a result to qualify and so will we.

I really like the look of italy and of course germany, depending on the seeding i think the final will be germany italy.

In a perverse sort of way, I'd like to see Redknapp and David Moyes swap jobs, just to see if Moyes could succeed with a decent kitty to buy top players, and also to see if Redknapp could do a job without being able to wheel and deal.

Personally, I don't think either would last more than a year.....Moyes' style of football wouldn't go down well on the lane and Redknapp would just be out of his depth and would probably bankrupt Everton.

Harry Redknapp v the tax man might be coming back and Spurs may know. The people's choice as 'best manager' passed over by the FA and dumped by Spurs? Not a football decision?

I'm guessing with the new TV deal, the football authorities will be stepping in to stop players salaries soaring? Salary caps? Maximum deals? Transfer caps? Nah, they'll just let clubs p*ss it up the wall and continue to operate at woeful debts. This deal will also mean that yet more desperate lunatics will want in on a premier league club. Will the FA step in and make sure clubs get the right men for the club, or will it be more Venky's etc.?

I imagine this new deal will mean a cushy pay rise for all at the FA, Premier League etc. too?

Rumours of fall out with a Spurs exec or something? Apparently the only reason he wasn't sacked is because Spurs were expecting a nice compensation package from the FA.

It's due to a fallout over Modric going to united. You heard it here first.

Ian Abrahams ‏@Moose_talkSPORT
It is my understanding Spurs maay have already met with David Moyes today and that Moyes compensation has been agreed with Everton FC

Paul Tyrrell ‏@TyrrellPaul
@Moose_talkSPORT this is an absolute lie Ian. I expected better from you. If you repeat it, you can expect legal action from EFC.

an Abrahams ‏@Moose_talkSPORT
@TyrrellPaul ok Paul sorry and I withdraw it

Ian Abrahams ‏@Moose_talkSPORT
I withdraw the comments about David Moyes I made a short while ago leaving Everton for Spurs

He's very, very good - obviously. However, the Dutch allowed him so much time and space, the wonder would have been if he'd not performed.

The KNVB have said that van Marwijk's job is safe no matter what, but Ralf Rangnick had it pinned down when he said the Netherlands are "like Bayern under van Gaal, very predictable". I think van Marwijk has taken Holland as far as he can. The only issue regarding getting shut of him is who would take over. Who is strong enough to command all those massive egos? As it is, they'll give van Marwijk through to the next World Cup before going for Frank de Boer.

Is Holland's position as bleak as is being made out, "Dutch on the brink of elimination" etc?

Am I right in thinking that if Germany beat Denmark (very likely) and Holland beat Portugal 2-0 (not that unlikely), Holland go through? Or have I misunderstood the qualification rules?
