God is nothing more than an imaginary friend for grown ups.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Let's be fair, any credible, globally succesful British band of the last 40 years, wouldn't have been seen dead performing in front of the Royals and a load of middle Englanders, whose idea of 'good' music is Gary Barlow and Elton John.

Yes, we could have had the Stones, Pink Floyd, Morrissey/The Smiths, Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Prodigy, etc, but they would have died in that environment, in front of that audience.

As a Jubilee show, it did what was required.....Bland, middle of the road nonsense feeding the appetite of X Factor loving types.

Yes, it was poop, but what more could you expect from a show curated by Barlow?

The Queen looked bored off her tits through it though, which she wouldn't have been if the Prodigy were there.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

I am not quite sure how you can tell when the Queen looks bored.
At 86, her face has dropped that much that her mouth is virtually upside down.

I think any time the name Gary Barlow and music are in the vicinity of each other it's an oxymoron.

I was stood waving my cap on Blake at the same review, I can recall some good nights in Pompey that week.

Brown is worse that Dury for my money... Not a lot in it, but worse.

Shane McGowan? Lemmy? John Lydon?

I wouldn't argue with that , But all mentioned have had some great songs though.
