The Committee of Dewsbury Celtic RLFC has been made aware of inappropriate and defamatory comments of an extreme political nature on an independent news website that have been attributed anonymously to certain sections of our club.

The club wishes to stress in the strongest possible terms that it is a non-political organisation and completely disassociates itself from the expression of political beliefs of any kind. We take the linking of the name of our organisation to political causes of whatever nature extremely seriously, and are currently considering our options, up to and including taking legal measures, to prevent any recurrence of incidents of this nature. A thorough investigation will be conducted into the circumstances surrounding this incident and appropriate sanctions will be imposed against the perpetrators if they can be identified.

Dewsbury Celtic has and will continue to operate on the basis of a clearly stated ethos of equality and inclusiveness. Our open age, youth and junior teams have always drawn and will continue to draw on players, supporters and volunteers from all sections of the community.
World Cup 2008 fund Amount saved £3.15(20p change from Tuesdays Sausage and Tom butty & a generous donation in kind from Billy Banter of £2.95)
Donations gratefully received

Name and shame . I believe even if the person is not indentified then action could be taken against the paper printing the the article.
