Were you in the loo, the rest us are debating whether it was a spear tackle or not?

Wasn't either it was poor technique from over eager to make a good tackle went too low too hard - there was no malous in it!

Sorry, didn't see it that way,IMO McNally was targeted and Aston went to hurt him, straight red correct.

Interesting to go to the RFL disciplinary page http://www.therfl.co.uk/the-rfl/disciplinary. There is a useful search filter.

Apparently this year Sheffield have had 10 referrals and 1 charge, might be more after yesterday. Leigh have had 46 referrals and 10 charges.

There have been 7 championship matches which have

led to charges - Bradford v Doncaster, Featherstone v Sheffield, and Batley v Leigh, Leigh v Featherstone, Leigh v Halifax, Leigh v Batley, Leigh v Bradford. Could a

pattern be emerging?

Anyone know how we are all doing in the fair play league?

Any comment on yesterday's game?

I wasn't there (Leigh Sports Village has the worst tasting and most expensive tea I have ever encountered in rugby league, so I'm not keen to go back).

Relying on the "highlights" it looks like Corey Aston's tackle was reckless rather than malicious, but deserving of a red card. Sam Smeaton's "late tackle" was more not getting his arm out of the way after the ball had gone, it's clear from his reaction that it wasn't intentional. Happily it looks like McNally's not too badly hurt. We'll see what the disciplinary panel have to say. There's no coverage of the punch-up so I'll have to wait on the panel for that one too.

Yesterday was a different story altogether, although I'd have been confident of our chances if Cory hadn't got sent off.[/quot

Huddersfield played with 12 men at Widnes for 68 minutes...and won ! It wasn't compulsory that Sheffield had to concede 58 points whilst playing with a 'man short' ! REALITY CHECK FOLKS !!!

Course it wasn't compulsory but that's a pretty poor example you've stated. That's two fully professional sides whilst our game was between a full-time team and a part-time team, who had a few full-timers scattered about. After Cory got sent off, I think many people knew what was going to come in terms of Leigh piling on the points. "A long day at the office" was a much used tweet.

No you prove me wrong - you'll never accept it because it won you the match I'm not saying he shouldn't have been sent off.
You'll never accept you are a dirty team and have the worse disciplinary record in the league - prove me wrong.

Do at least try and be serious.Huddersfield had Ferres,a forward sent off - the covering for a forward is a lot easier than covering for a half-back play maker.

That is why your illustrious neighbours had Flower target Hohaia and in the previous Grand Final Westwood spanked the half back.

You will notice that it was the forwards who did the damage. You will remember all your interchange on Sunday were forwards - as were ours.

Mark 'The Assassin' Aston apparently sent out a very young player with an unblemished record to deliberately injure your full back and then when the game was well and truly lost, and in the closing stages, another player, not a forward, was tasked with the job.

Of course all this effort was done because we were playing a far superior team and yet when we played an establishd Super League side in HULL FC we managed to go the 80 minutes without any trouble, injury causing,or cards.

Any idea why forward Hock cannot knock anyone off-balance when he punches?

Any idea how you could sign Andrew Dixon and remain under the salary cap after releasing a player, was it Beaumont to Whitehaven?,and yet you can then sign Hock,Hopkins and the lad from Catalans Dragons without news of any other player releases?
