The trouble is of course that it is not good to have so many French players since so few of them are good enough. Last night Sigismeau ,who apparently wants to leave in order to further his career, made 4 terrible and costly errors.
I was one of 2 Catalan fans present and let me start by praising Morgan Escare ,who did not put a foot wrong.Duport broke the line for the first time since the Batley match and with unmarked players on each side failed to pass the ball. After half time I spent a lot of time studying Garcia and realised that Stewart will not pass to him..Yaha caught one very difficult high ball-he is the only French player ,who can do this, but he is far too slow off the mark in defence. Gigot had a stinker, but I understand that he was ill.Albert showed some clever touches at times.
Most of the forwards defended well-it was the backs who should have stopped the first 3 tries-and I was particularly impressed with David Taylor ,who despite his injury played bravely. Navarrette had a very good run at the death.Aiton removes the unpredictability of Pelissier, who was yet again not good enough.
In the short term-and the term is now very short-I would move Gigot to right centre and hope that we have two half backs plus Broughton fit to play.Garcia should replace Mounis in the forwards.
Overall this was very poor ,especially as-believe it or not-Hull were well below the standard they achieved in their previous 2 home matches against us.In fairness we never backed off and never gave in .We are simply not good enough. We clearly need some new non French recruits next year.

I think you are doing a slight dis-service to Shaul who defended that Duport break very well. He didnt over commit to the chase as he knew he could always catch him, instead, he stayed in between the support runner and Duport making it a difficult pass. He should have cut inside but in the spur of the moment he decided to pass.
