literally gonna be half a new squad. god knows who we are gonna sign. most players are signed up elsewhere.

i would go hard at hardaker, 1 or 2 of the aussie props that are off contract (hannant etc) depending on quota spaces then really who knows. could do with springer back haha, mental we didnt give him what he wanted. he is one of cas' best

if carney leaves id go for sam williams (who had a spell at us before)

so we are looking at with what we currently have

1. gigot
2. broughton
3. duport
4. inu
5. yaha
6. albert
7. myler
8. casty
9. aiton
10. bousquet
11. horo
12. anderson
13. baiteri
14. garcia
15 da costa
16. navarette
17. (no other first team players from what i can remember

and all the other young squad players (maraglet, perez etc)

so that leaves us with a lot of cap space (carey, taylor, stewart are our biggest earners I would have thought, add mason, mounis, elima, pellisier, escare, richards ect) and thats getting close to half a salary cap i would have thought.

so with a lot of quota spaces there (i count 3 leaving) there could be an awful lot of signings going on

Hardacre has been useless this season.What is absolutely clear is that the current players minus Carney and Taylor will not get in the top eight and that most of the reserves and u19's are not good enough, though Albert and Navarette are good prospects and a few of the rest might make it.The wretched Sigismeau is a warning to us all.

After thinking it through. I would go for (all hypothetical of course and only players that are out of contract and also assuming that taylor and carney are leaving)

just shows there are a lot of good players out there. but we need to get our business done quick. my priorities would be ben hannant, hardaker,, oldfield, any of the 2nd rowers and sam williams

and hopefully a few of our academy players are ready to step up.

i am still optimistic. i personally see this as a real turning point in our recruitment policy. are we gonna keep going for the old, tired (or naughty) aussie scraps or are we gonna sign hungry, younger players (williams, oldfield, hardaker) and start becoming cleverer in the transfer market. cos on reflection, mason, stewart, richards are not the sort of signings to take the club forward.

The exit door is well and truly ajar. If this is a policy change and the days of the high profile Aussie import is over then I admire the club for taking this stance.

For every Greg Bird or Adam Mogg, there has been a Ben Pomeroy or a Willie Tonga.

We have tried an approach that has been inadequate and its now time to face a couple of years of the stress of the qualifiers if it brings on some of the French players.

I don't mind us being second best in matches because the other team has better quality. I do mind us being second best in terms of effort and application.

That is down to the coaches and the recruitment.
