I have now seen the resume .Escare is perfecting the gallic shrug as he disowns his own defensive responsibilities. The injured halfbacks do not explain why our forwards could not defend simple balls down the middle.Duport,by no means for the first time,broke the cardinal rule of coming out of the defensive line without good reason.However ,I did not see the other 70 minutes.

Full credit to the catalan fans at the game, hope bar the result you had a good time. I wasn't sticking the boot in saying I thought the marks were generous. The first 20 minutes was absolutely horrendous from both sides, error afree error, illl disciplined, cas failing to make touch, cats dropping it first tackle. Filth. We just happened to click between 30 and 50. You lot do have a couple of weeks to get it right though.

O.K I shall leave Escare alone in the hope we sign a full back for next season who is not French .This means that he may have the ability to catch the SHORT high ball ,because he has played cricket,that he can and will tackle properly,that he will do more in possession than running a few metres,but never passing,and that he will not suffer delusions about his ability to kick.I thank Escare for his brilliant attacking performances-often feeding off the second line-2 years ago,but our opponents have worked him and us out.

Well against Cas he took about 6 attacking kicks from gale under pressure, he was our biggest threat along with duport and horo with the ball and he was also our best kicker, so i disagree with everything youve said there

If he maintains that form I shall take it all back. It took me a long time to regard him as a liability,but that is what he has been in most games that he has played this year. As I said I did not see the Cas. game.Perhaps a swallow can make a summer.
