Unbeaten in our last one at Headingley of course, but with an away record reminiscent of Leeds' round ball mob who went a whole season not winning on their travels (or something similar).

Wonder who will play in the centres. I think I'd put Pomeroy in the second row and move Anderson to prop to replace casty.

That was a close run thing in the end.

Score just before half time killed us. They then got away a bit after the interval.

Tough set of games for super 8s but we will worry about that in the week.

Just seen the highlights. Makes me sad that we have had so many injuries, we really could have been a force.

I had missed the last 2 matches due to holiday and went to the very noisy south side with little hope.However ,this was our best performance for a long time and would have been even closer but for the failed grounding at the end.In particular our tackling and general effort was much improved and our backs functioned much better as a unit .Yes there were some terrible errors by Pelissier and I nu which led to penalties and tries ,but this was much more up to the required standard.The returning Tonga was eventually placed at second row and had a good match .Carney was of course outstanding and undoubtedly lifts the other players.Clearly we are missing Taia,Casty and Anderson in the forwards and Oldfield ,Duport and Bosc in the Backs,but frankly the latter 3 would find it very hard to become 1st choice.Escare will never be a good defender and the club will have to decide whether his attacking strengths outweigh his defensive weaknesses when Richards arrives.

Although we have no chance of the top 4 it is vital that we get a winning mentality for next year.I am looking at 4 wins out of 7 as a realistic target.

The score for Pelissier is worrying with Hendo going and Aiton not officially unveiled as yet.
