We understand that there is currently no formal interest in Todd and that the Dragons have no plans to sell his registration.

The President, Bernard Gausch, is rumoured to have put a five hundred thousand euro price on the Australian play makers signature. This may be a deterrent to some, but not Manly who have around AUS$1.5m space on their cap to spend on half backs in 2016.

So now you know.

If the NRL come calling (probably Manly) anyone who thinks Carney won't be on the first plane home are totally kidding themselves.

It is not clear that the NRL will register Todd Carney. He has after all been sacked by three clubs for behavior that brings the game of rugby league into disrepute. Todd Greenberg of the NRL has alluded to this matter.

Todd Carney certainly won't be leaving Catalans in 2015, but whether the NRL would register him in 2016 is an open question. 2017, after an incident free spotless off field performance in France, is more likely. However of course Manly would like to have him back in 2016.

Having lost Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran to Gold Coast and Parramatta respectively for 2016 already, Manly are in the market for a quality half-back which Carney is. The link is unsurprising.
I don't expect him to be at the Dragons in 2016, so just hope we get the best out of him while he is. I'm neither surprised nor bothered by the speculation.
