Late Drop Goal Pinches Points For Dragons Both the Dragons and the Tigers were looking for their first points of the season as the two sides came together for an explosive encounter at the Stade Gilbert Brutus in Perpignan. The home side welcomed back Scott Dureau but we're still without winter signing sensation Todd Carney. The Tigers had thrown away the two points against the Wildcats and Daryl Powell had plenty to work to do over the week to rebuild his sides confidence and set them up for a big challenge in fortress France. What would unfold would, at times, resemble more of a war than a game as neither side took a backward step in a humdinger of an encounter which would leave both sides battered and bruised but the neutrals wishing for more. Scott Dureau, in his first game back with the team in over a year, showed glimpses that suggest that in 2015 he could be up there with Todd Carney challenging for Man of Steel.

When those two are fit and playing in good harmony, with Morgan Escare running on their shoulders, the team can do anything.

Let 's be clear .We could have easily lost this game.I remain extremely concerned about the left wing position where none of the contenders can catch the highball.Amazingly Cas did not repeat the ploy,where a try should have been given,despite Duport's manifest inability to get anywhere near the ball.

Erm, lets not get carried away with man of steel talk yet, Scott is still far from fit and probably below even his 2013 form, he made countless errors (the dive for the corner, kicking out on the full, forward passes, generally bad passes, etc). As much as I love Scott, it is going to take some time.

Definitely too early... we must remember how last season started! At this stage it is just good to get the two points on the board as we should only get better.

We are that sort of side that will just click into action and start playing that brilliant style we can. But then as quickly as it started, we can go back into a shell !
