So Leigh quite rightly beat Salford this afternoon and move on to the next round, but this could potentially cause rovers a right headache in the weeks to come.

Due to the Rfl's decision to put the bottom six from last years in to the CC a round earlier without amending the fixture list meant that our game against Salford today was postponed, and now Salford are out of the cup.

Now presuming ( and I don't say that with any detriment to the Bulls) that we win tomorrow and go on a bit of a cup run, we now stand the chance somewhere along the line of playing Salford in a mid week game, which given any potential injuries could make the playing field unfair to not only Rovers but also Salford when both teams may well be fighting for a top 8 position.

I always thought this was a daft idea, but now fatigue from this could theoretically cost us a place in the top 8 or the cup due to playing the extra game.

The same also goes for Wakie and Fc, again presuming Fc beat Sheffield.

It was just a few thoughts on how we may end up with an Easter style power sapping spell, and an extra game that could be important come the end of the normal weekly rounds

Salford's squad is taking a battering at the moment. Unfortunately they play several of our near rivals in the next few weeks & some of them will take advantage. Chances are when we finally get to play them they'll be much stronger.

But, the Salford game would be midweek for them too!

This situation has been obvious since November 2014 when the fixtures were published. Today's result hasn't changed a thing.

Just in case though, I would expect the draw to be Leeds vs. Kr, Wigan/Wire vs. FC
