So, Bailey... It is correct that he didn't turn up to the team photo. Mindful that there could have been a genuine reason for his absence (but I think we all know their probably isn't) what will be the clubs stance? Chester, Mike Smith & Neil Hudgell have all mentioned issues around discipline under Craig Sandercock's reign, not even a ball kicked in SL 2015 and you've got a player AWOL.

As an aside - this isn't the only instance of him being absent from club events/activities/rehab during Baileys short period of employment so far.

You raise a good point, and thankfully, are looking to debate and not point score. The least I would expect is a formal investigation into his reason for missing this engagement. If his reason isn't valid I'd discipline him. Whether that would be dismissal would depend on the circumstances, but no mistake, the club need to be consistent with it's staff.

Alternatively, maybe he's like that internet prankster on the Aygo advert and he was there dressed as a bit of pitch...........

Having heard rumblings, I don't think he's someone you want around if I'm honest. Getting rid would undoubtedly leave you short (Loan market?), but I think it would probably be better for club morale in the long term.

I really hope it all turns out to be a misunderstanding. If worst comes to worst, we have four good props in Allgood, Walker, Weyman and Green, and Cox can play there too. And I'm sure Bailey is on massive wages so we look elsewhere recruitment wise with a big chunk off the salary cap! He's in his early 30's now and I thought he was a reformed character, i remember him clapping the Rovers fans at one Craven Park game vs Leeds, he obviously likes the fans, so lets hope it sorts itself out!

Re: Bailey : Sun Jan 25, 2015 11:34 am
The official reason given was that he was full of flu, and rovers did not want him spreading it about. How true I don't know. I see no reason to think otherwise, he is plenty of things but one thing you can't question is his loyalty/honesty. Why would he want to leave? What does he have to gain? IMO people putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5.

He was at the meet the players thing organised by Reds wasn't he?

Re: Bailey : Sun Jan 25, 2015 2:46 pm
The guy has Flu, I'm sure he could have turned up but do we risk the players coming down with it. With the incubation period been 5-10 days that brings us right up to the Leeds game two weeks today. I really don't think we can question Baileys attitude, He went to Hull Royal Infirmary at Christmas to visit the children's ward with a pot on his leg and moving about on two crutches.
