Tbf, CS's sticky start and general lack of bonhomie meant there was and to some extent remains a degree of ambivalence about him. Morgan was a tough act to follow. However, I'm delighted at his/our getting some good recent results because 1. Winning is nice and 2. It should guarantee him the breathing to have a proper crack at the job.
A couple of notes - Wheeldon, not the only member of Hull's Grand Final team that 'went south' and CS only had him for half a season 6 years laters. And Yeaman isn't in the current England squad, perhaps explaining our current lack of bleating on that score.
The Uate stuff may bore you, but as you say we all like to be optimistic about our coach and look for positives in their credentials. Much was made of Gentle having been the, as opposed to the more accurate if less impressive 'an', assistant coach of Australia. Moving up the organisation you lot had the whole infallibility of St. Adam thing, until failure-to-take-Hetherington-down-a-peg-or-two-gate, at least.
Anyway, this is our rumours thread (a poor, weak imitation I admit), so shaddup with all your jibber-jabber.
I love a squabble thread, but not here. If you want a long, futile argument over this then invite us around your board, if your mods will have us.

mods shouldn't post when they've had a skinfull
