If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I hope we do, I don't rate him as highly as some on here, but he is still showing improvement, particularly tactically and positionally. He was near faultless on Monday.
I'm not sure if he's in group two of Mild Rovers' Cap Chart For Dummies at the moment, but looking at other players available and if Clinton and Webster go then it might be worth on pushing him up into the higher reaches of group or the lower end of group one.

In my opinion Shannon started off solid but not spectacular. For some reason after only a handful of games this led some Rovers fans to state that he wasn't good enough (I never understood this view personally). As the season has progressed he has just got better and better in my opinion and I have no idea how anybody thinks we can replace him with better next year or that he's not worth a decent contract. I hope we are getting back round the negotiating table with him because we need this man in our team.
