Even if it does turn out to be a false alarm, this has been useful practice for when it does inevitably happen in the future. And I think it has exposed a degree of emotional unpreparedness. While Hull were an established SL team and we were new boys, the traffic was always likely to be in one direction. This is our sixth season in the top flight and we have to realise that players are going to be moving in both directions from time to time and this does not herald the end of the World.
If you are really disappointed, here are some useful phrases that will hide it from Hull fans and in no way make you look like a jealously sulking infant celebrating a sibling's birthday gifts with a massive screaming fit:
