I don't think he played badly at all, he made 1 mistake which was a knock on, other than that looked fine abit limited in attack but for a last minute call up he was ok

He had less than 24 hours notice so he will have not known anybody or any of the plays IMHO.
Hardly surprising that he looked out of place then is it.

I have actually mentioned this on the VT.
Using Shannon as an example the exiles squad should be picked at the start of the season (Or at least asked players if they are interested and make a squad from the yes answers you get) then just as England do they should have get togethers and they need to Carry a far bigger squad.
They then won't get shafted over late drop outs as they clearly were last night.

To be fair, you could say that about every player last night, the conditions made them look poor.

With the notice he had to play and one training session I thought he did okay. Two knockons probably tainted his performance but the conditions where shocking. If you look at his positioning in the attacking line he was always on the shoulder of the halves ready to chink in like he has being doing recently to great affect for Rovers but I felt he was massively under utilised in this area. Shannon made good yards on the kick returns and wasn't at fault for any tries. All in all an okay game from Shannon and if Dobson does get called in for Wednesday we'll see an even better Shannon.
