[quote="the_cow"]Seems a poop way to end it... thank you very much bobby hope- ruined the club.

if the rumours are to believed regarding the rfl's refusal to let the club reform as a new club and start without any debts, then it is no wonder no-one would come forward with the funds to support the club.

Highlights- the intimacy of the ground, sam reay chatting to hunslet fans whilst he was playing who were calling him fat in 09, that win against worky after the long barren spell, martin crompton, the challenge cup game at Leeds & the south stand going silent after our second try, swinton fans (superb on the whole and always happy even when losing), johnny leather & pete fairhurst, the northern rail 9's win and that weekend of beer & chatting to other fans.

Low points- dave merrick and the most shocking ref performance I have ever seen in that regular season game against Oldham in 2009, the chav hunslet fans, the glory hunter worky fans who travelled down for the play-off game this year, graham holroyd giving the bird to his own fans, woodcock's awful hair cuts/ bleaching.
Dont think we actually knew a lot of whats gone on at the club so to blame bobby hope may be a bit premature. MC came out and said he didnt blame bobby hope so more gone on than we care to imagine id thought.
Highlights - Obviously Workington game and leeds game away - For pure atmosphere and performance and i have never been so proud when my little lad lead the panthers out at headingley against the super league champions. Think the highlight of the 2010 season was MC changed our perspective and we expected to win every game. As in previous seasons we would be happy to get a respectable score against us the belief with a few additions to our squad was immense and a season that will never be forgotten for time to come
Low points - Nothing can compare to us going into asministration then be refused entry to the 2011 championship 1.
Good visiting fans - Gateshead, London skolars, South wales - Proper supporters and had a really good bit of banter and chat

Blackpool is always a great away trip whatever the occasion , so we're pretty gutted here as well.
We all had a great time up there despite the result and I was looking forward to going again next season...

Is it not possible for a new Blackpool club to be formed and play say Conference National as CC1 seems impossible for next year now? Just what is the future for RL in Blackpool and the area?

If all else fails Kev Im sure you'll get behind your local amateur side. You're more than welcome to come and follow us
(South Wales) home or away next season if it helps (though prob not right now).

I think we need to take year out to take stock but I think it's very unlikely that there will be an RFL team in Blackpool again, there simply aren't the numbers to make it stack up.

There's undoubtedly a lot more what's gone on than has been revealed publically as yet. I hope MC does spill the beans because those who've been involved all these years deserve some honest answers.

Very sad to lose any Rugby League club. Can't help but think if you were based in Wales it would never have come to this.

Anyone who really believes this does not stink is crazy. I am not anti welsh it just happens to be them. Facts are crusaders are allowed to go into administration again citing inherited debts. Surely this is what the new potential owners of blackpool wanted to do. Looks more than suspect to me when are clubs outside super league get act together and make a stand on this the same rules should be the same. Most fans who watch games outside super league know the standard is very good and before any super league fans whinge remember your lot are full time and the rest are part time and will have jobs. Just hope the panthers can be set up in some form or another, sad day for rugby today.

As a father of one of the Blackpool players and speaking for several other of my sons team mates, i am disgusted at what has happened to the panthers this last week :FRUSRATED: .

Several players including my son have stayed loyal to the club during the recent troubles and they did not sign for anyone else even when they knew the club had gone into admin. They now find themslves with a difficult job of finding another team as most other teams have already fully recruited, also most of them are still owed money from last year which they will now never receive (Thanks Mr Hope) :DEPRESSED:

Such a shame as their are several good players now in limbo who would walk into any National league 1 side.
Those players should be applauded and i hope not just for my own son they all get new clubs soon.

I also feel sorry for the loyal panther fans, I hope you rise from the ashes again one day

My son and myself have had some happy memories of the last two years
The memorable 9s win and that great performance at Leeds in the challenge cup. Great times

Totally agree with everything you say, on behalf of every panthers fan i think every season has been memorable through the
many defeats and recently victories. No matter what the result we always believed in the players. we supported in defeat
just as much as victory, that is why blackpool panthers was the club it was. The players and supporters made it great. Up the panthers
