Anyway ... back to the game please!
DM said that Hunslet scored two debatable tries ... but they won by 19 points. Yes the game is a seesaw and momentum is everything so you have to consider that as well.
But I am interested in what we did and why we only scored 16 points.
The thrust of the predictions ... even from the negs was that we would beat them by 20 and the 14 given by the bookies was a licence to print money ... yet they beat us by 20 nearly ... a turn round of 40 points in expectations.
That's a hammering!
So ineffectual in attack and sloppy in defence was it?
Yes ... you're gonna get beat once in a while along the route ... but this wasn't one of them was it?
The truth is the faults in our side are consistent ones which no amount of tinkering appears to address ... if anything we are slowly going backwards not improving.
The club is doing nothing about them and it really does not sit well with our stated aims of promotion.
One thing the club can do is stop pumping out rhetoric about our chances, because it riles folk.
Or they can back up this rhetoric and get a proper team.
If anything we need to lower our expectations and be happy when we do win.
Because despite the rhetoric we are a club with average resources and pretending that we can go somewhere good is just wishful thinking.
So turn out and support and have a day out and hope to see a little good footy and no more.
There is no more to added.
