He's clearly a player of good quality even though he's 38 now.

I've not read any of the background as to why he was sacked by Toronto but I would assume there's clearly some baggage associated with him.

Exactly...you'd get more than a man on the field. He's playing for Bradford and Bingley Amateurs at the mo so I'd like to think we can make a better offer than them

Interesting .... I wonder why no one else has made him an offer?

I wonder if there's some form of RFL investigation pending and he's not able to sign for any professional team?

I'd imagine that's the case, I don't know what those three did. I have heard rumours but can't post here as they're unsubstantiated.

Whatever happened (and I too have had information which can't be posted here), one of them already has another club so perhaps the RFL aren't investigating?

That said, I got the distinct impression on Wednesday evening that it's not something the Club wish to pursue.

Perhaps, it is as stated at the meeting on Wednesday that Richard Horne doesn't feel there's a void that needs filling as the Hull link will be able to provide whatever cover we need.

I agree that we seem short of depth but with Hull having no second team, it probably wouldn't be a surprise to see some of their better fringe players, or first-team players who haven't been picked perhaps coming our way.

I feel more reassured on this after the Wednesday night meeting than before.
