Piece of p*** then!!

We'll do well to pick up enough points to get in the play-offs on that basis.

Looking forward to another season in League 1.

One positive to take into the 8's is that we have our strongest squad number wise for a few years .
It is going to be tough lets hope we are peaking at the right time .

And hopefully everyone fit and raring to go. First couple of results/performances should be quite telling.

Strange feeling this optimism

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

I think the key game could well be the Newcastle game at home. They're our main rivals for 5th place. If we beat them we'd be four points clear of them. It'd be hard to see them overtaking us given that scenario.

Can we catch York for fourth? We'd probably have to win at York to be in with a chance.

Can we catch Barrow? Almost certainly not if we don't win at Barrow.

We've got quite a few positives going our way with a fit squad, more confidence than before, and Richard Horne having had a bit of time to assess things and make the changes he wants. I'd be really disappointed if we missed the top five. No games are going to be easy from here on in and a team will only need to be marginally off their game to get beaten.

I'm sure there'll be a few surprises along the way. Hopefully, we can keep winning and take advantage of any slip ups made by the others.

This is the interesting part of the season in this awfully structured league. It gets exciting from now on!
