I really don't do ifs and buts. Yes we lost narrowly and we can put forward reasons why we might have won ... sin-binnings for instance.
But we lost ... we are out of this cup at the first attempt two years on the trot.

What evidence is there that he has learned anything so far?
Keighley are not nearly the best side in this division and a very easy league start will mask any shortcomings in our game .... so I don't see any improvements on last season. We have already had four games and what is wrong with this side as been obvious in all four. How is it gonna change?

We have better forwards, that is all that has changed.

Agreed we lost. As for the other of your points, my view is I'm probably too long in the tooth following the Dons to expect anything but ups and downs. The players and the Coach's reaction to this game will be interesting.

Well yeah it comes with the territory of being a Dons supporter.

Not really interested in the coach's reaction ... he's half the problem.

A poor start to the season in our first competitive game, we started well and looked well drilled, however we became sloppy and lost discipline. We lacked creativity in attack, I thought keighley wanted the win more than us in the first 25 minutes of the 2nd half, and it only changed when Kyle Keswick came back on and added a bit more steel and belief.

I am concerned that the season ahead will be a repeat of last season, where we will make the play offs and get knocked out without believing we can win.

I want to know what Gary Thornton will do to change it, he's been given a bigger budget, and he stated at the fans meeting he's always been supported by the board, if that's the case then surely the blame lays at his door.

If we are to believe the plans the club have over the next 5 years and our budget is the highest it's been then we should be challenging for the 2nd automatic promotion spot, getting beaten by a very average keighley team isn't going to achieve our goal.

Discipline, discipline, discipline! Two Sin binning plus other silly penalties have we not learnt anything, discipline cost us games last season and we seem to have started this the same. We should concentrate on being smart not trying to prove how hard we are.

Right about the discipline poor. Cannot win a match with 12 players for 20 mins.

Team selection 6 props, Thackray can play at 13 but Zac NO way he is a 13 , just didn't work .

Some big decisions to make re the players & the way we play.

With Carl Hall's comments regarding the pitch on this weeks ITD can I take that the team selection was made with the pitch in mind or was the playing surface not that heavy?
