So, as it stands, 8 Home fixtures and 6 Away.

It looks like if another team makes up the 16-team league, the Bye on Friday 14 April becomes an Away fixture.

It looks as though this terrible format has been approved by the clubs and the RFL for yet another season.

At least we've got home games against Toronto, Keighley, Barrow, and Hunslet to look for to.

I hope York survive but I wonder who the new team may be that could replace them?

I don't know when the Cup matches are scheduled but there's a big gap between fixtures in April & May.

June looks like something of a make or break period.

We'll need a decent squad over this spell if we've got ambitions for promotion.

At least we've got Toronto at home.

At first glance they could have been much worse IMO. Two trips to Cumbria which is the nearest we will get to Canada, Barrow at home is a bonus (keeping face straight). Pleased as I can be with that list.

The RFLs operational rules haven't been updated after the end of the 2016 season. Consequently we don't know whether they're sticking with the same promotion format as last season or whether they've not yet made their minds up on how it'll work.
