Here's the text of the RFL's decision:
This Tribunal have carefully reviewed the footage of this incident several times. The player can be clearly seen running towards an opponent. He jumps off the ground and makes forceful contact with the opponents head area with a promoted arm/elbow. The actual point of contact is unclear but there is contact. This type of contact has the potential for serious injury. In deciding the appropriate sanction the tribunal note the player’s previous disciplinary record. In 2011 and 2013 he has appearances for reckless use of the elbow in the tackle. This tribunal feel that is an aggravating factor. In this case this tribunal feel that the grading at grade A is insufficient and feel that a grade B grading is more appropriate. Taking into account all the circumstances this tribunal feel that a 2 match suspension and £75 fine are appropriate.
