You are reading it wrongly, with due respect.
The tables for each teams show the penalties conceded, given away as you say, by each team down to an individual basis even.
They show Salford gave away 5 and Cas gave away 10. (Page 20)
Now look at the match facts on page 21

They show the penalty count as 5-9 ( they should be 5-10 by the way to tally properly, so someone can't add up)

That means Cas got 5 penalties awarded and Salford got 9 (10 really)

Do you see?

So if that printing is correct, Donny got 18 penos and couldn't win ....... crap!

Just got my internet on line. Very disappointed with the result , could cost us at the end of the 1st round of fixtures.

That team we put out was nigh on our best team plus Feka and we lost to an average side after better more heroic results at harder places.
The story of our season so far is that by and large we are winning JUST.
Compare that with Rochdale Toulouse and Keighley and others like York and Barrow.
It is really not good enough.

Our defence is not good enough to get us out of this division.
Changes are needed ....in tactics.

Not mentioning names but there are two or three that are not up to the standard or size required in defence.
Penny for Warrington is a prime example, he has bulked up and got better in defence.
It is no good a winger scoring a try however spectacular if he is conceding two or three ... nuff said!

Gary Thornton says we are not leaving ourselves much leeway. Reporting in the Free Press. He estimates we can only lose three or four and finish in the top four.
Also we beat ourselves rather than Newcastle being anything unexpected.
That is really disappointing.
A stupid slack defeat.
