Does anyone know how much funding Championship & Championship One teams will receive from the RFL next season? I have found the funding for Championship teams for this season but I can't find any figures of the Championship One Clubs.

From what I can see at the end of last season the two clubs relegated from the SL each received £780.000.

The top club in the Championship received £500,000
The team that finished in second place received £450,000
Third & Fourth each received £200.000
Fifth & Six each received £175,000
The remainder of the teams in the Championship each received £150.000

I don't know what payments were made to the Championship One teams

I would imagine that if the Dons are relegated they will receive a lot less funding from the RFL than they received for the current season.

Apparently we didn't get the 200,000 this season according to Carl at beginning of year.
so where it has gone to is anyone's idea.

Carl said that the money received wasn't prize money for finishing 4th last year, it was the RFLs funding to clubs for this year.

This, sort of, clarified any misunderstandings in that we, as fans, may believe there was more money to come, on top of the reward for finishing 4th. ie. Prize money plus more funding.

Basically, we did receive the £200,000 but it was technically classed as funding for this year, and not prize money for last year.

Yup its not a prize its just the level of funding we got from the RFL....so we had a payout of 200K nothing more and I would imagine this has been the basis of the funding for this years squad....how much of it was used for that is a different matter, I would suspect some of it went to paying back the alleged debt to the Rovers for bailing us out.....some more may have gone to funding the rovers attempts to get into the play offs.

There wont be a parachute payment I don't think for dropping down to CL1 and we'll get a much lower amount to run the side this year it will be interesting times ahead I think to plan to bounce straight back up to CL we will need some investment backing from Club Doncaster and its backers.

Your right Steve, club Doncaster are going to have to put money in because the rfl seem to deem championship 1 as a hindrance, no focus is put on it at all. The club when meeting the fans committee, if I remember Correctly, said if we went down it would stall our going full time plans, something I think is vital, and they would invest to get straight back up and continue with the plan, which is known only to themselves. I hope the club are planning for next season NOW , because it is clear that some supporters are disillusioned, so the club need to show they mean business.

I think to win some fans back the off season needs to be a strong one and show that we mean business in CL1 akin to how Leigh have done this year in CL make a clear statement of intent with our signings....its over to Club Doncaster to back GT to do this, only time will tell.

I have no intention of....I am the eternal skeptic regarding the Dons due to so many false dawns.
