Well that seems to be a fair assessment. As Carl says had those kicks gone over, and two were from fairly easy positions, the situation would have been different and who knows how that might have affected the attitude of the two teams? Considering how well Dave Scott has been kicking it was quite a shock when he missed.

Just had a quick peep at some match comments on the Hunslet forum. One suggests that without their DR players they may have not beaten us.

Swings and roundabouts.

I think it's fair to say they may not have beaten us. It was the Wigan contingent that made the real difference in the home game against Workington too.

Just seen the score from last nights Hunslet and Sheffield fixture. Puts a lot into perspective does that score. :(

Thank God I'm an atheist.

Just serves to show how shoite we are.
Worst side for many a year.
Sheffield have been the side to model ourselves on for a good few years now and we have come nowhere near to learning lessons.
I have little faith in those in power.

I still don't seriously understand, even allowing for the lack of experienced players recruited in pre-season, how we can go from 4th last season (even if that slightly flattered us) to being incapable of beating anyone including a Championship One team. It simply beggars belief!

It does but the club and those running the show are going to get hit where it hurts most, in the pocket. Gate receipts for next year and sponsorship will be hit and if that does not bring about a change in thinking then nothing will.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

I bought into the Paul Cooke purchase, and quite rightly, because the guy was a class player.
The Dons had a revival because of Paul Cooke.
He was our star player and made our side tick.

When he first came he got himself into shape and he was the business, a second Holroyd.
I noticed at the back end of last season he was caning the drink and letting his fitness go.
I watched him after the Rochdale game away, Chris Hough's testimonial , and thought he is back on the sauce.

He wasn't in shape at the start of this campaign and I thought then that things weren't right.
Then to pack in playing half way through the season confirmed what I thought, he had given up.

Paul Cooke was the driving force and star of the Dons and when he gave up we were finished.
I think that he was class, sorry is class, but subject to the temptations of food and drink, like we all are.
I am sorry to see him go, he took any bit of class with him.

I still pay into the Paul Cooke fund ... I don't know why anymore.
