Dons v North Wales Crusaders 13/04/2014 : Thu Apr 10, 2014 11:19 am  

Turned us over in pre-season but I'd like to think we will win this fixture. Should be ok in the backs with Dave Scott to return and some assistance from Hull. Still a little threadbare in the forwards but if Castle makes it that will be a boost.

Thoughts?

Really ought to have enough to beat them, and i am expecting to. The pre season game was what it was, a warm up , don't see a repeat coming to be honest.

Castle wasn't risked last week so should be ok.

I hope Cas is playing. I love watching his strong, direct runs when he keeps his legs pumping. He gives us an added threat when we're close to their line. He keeps players occupied thinking he might get the ball, even when he doesn't.

Be nice if Kes is back too.

PS. S/O jokes are getting worse, aren't they? I suppose Dull is better than Honcaster though.

Mainly because Honcaster does not describe Hull in the way I perceive them.

Back to NWC, we need to remember what happened.
They had bags of pace down the left hand side and bust us in an embarrassing fashion.

The right hand defence that day was shiite (are you listening Nev?).
If those few forays were taken away, NWC weren't that good at all.
So learn from that and win.

Nervous TBH I think they are a tidy team and big across the whole side.
Banana skin, and wouldn't get away with laps like 1st half last week..

Exactly; I think NWC are like us last year. Finding their feet while putting in some good displays. Any kind of win would be good enough for me

Dons asked to concede between 20 & 24 on the Handicap Betting. Bet365, Coral & Hills amongst those asking only 20.
