I think my roll might be coming to an end!

But here's a guess....

Is the MP Harold Walker? And was Alan Walker his son?

My dad new Harold Walker quite well in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Good attempt but not Harold Walker

By the way Alan Walker was the nephew of Dons coach Trevor(Dick)Lowe

Have another roll, the player concerned played for the Dons from the late 70's to the mid 80's

No, you've got me there, Geoff. I can't think of any other players who had the same name as any politicians of the day.

I will give you a clue he had the same surname as a former Doncaster Rovers forward who run a well known sports shop in East Laithe Gate.

Funnily enough, Ray Harrison who owned the sports shop on East Laithe Gate used to live just round the corner from me when I lived in Barnby Dun in the 1980s.

Is the Dons player Robert Harrison? What was the political link?

Seems like the "Quotes" aren't working properly on here at the moment - well, not on my computer.

Good stuff, Geoff. I don't remember the Wakefield MP but I've never really taken all that much notice of politics.
