Who you calling dense….wow teams have to buy players do they but your banging on about your youth set up but signing Reynolds who is bang average and going to takeaway the chance of any half-back….as for “degsy”…sour grapes or what.Put it this way…if Jai field became available, would any team not sign him because of 2 bad hamstring injuries and as for him saying the know something about his injuries and saying it is a breach of his personal welfare and shows you what type of person he is.
I know this term ‘we’re at cap’ doesn’t mean much to FC fans but realistically what domestic halfback can we have as 3rd choice 3 games into the season, deals had already been done and we are @ cap it was a no brainer
And yes I’m calling you dense saying ‘we’re in the same boat’ ‘rovers have no youth’ look mate gonna be brutally honest here hull fc have had the pick of the youth for many years in hull due to the simple fact you were better, now little old rovers will get the pick of the crop
Problem is you’re literally trying to clutch at straws with the buzzwords ‘no youth’ ‘splashing cash’, no we ain’t wire paying over the odds we’re putting money into the right things
I respected hull in 2017 the team was class and had most teams beaten before halftime I didn’t try to find every little negative I just admitted it, Shame you can’t do the same, there has to be something wrong about rovers to clutch on to

Many Hull fans, talking about youth been paramount, I fully agree and without youth, you can't be a top team consistently the salary cap doesn't allow it. Mikey Lewis only costing £50k on our cap is testament.
Since been awarded an elite academy, Rovers have invested in youth massively. They've brought in quality coaches and increased every part of the academy setup. The building of facilities at Craven Park for the academy is the next goal. The changes came to soon to make a huge difference in the crop of academy players who where moving through the scholarship setup but you only have to look at the current Scholarship players. Lots of very highly rated players who are unbeaten having played Wigan, Bradford, Saints and Warrington. Should Rovers have had the same level of home grown players as Hull without the same investment in youth or the ability to offer the same pathways as Hull, absolutely not. What we've done is even the bar in what we can offer players when they are deciding on Hull or Rovers, or even Cas & Leeds. We've also brought in players now from Wales and London. Rovers academy will start delivering, not this year maybe shoots appear next year but the year after we'll start to see the fruits of alot of investment, time and effort.
With the first team I firmly believe we are building something really good in East Hull, probably a year early to really challenge for a trophy but the club are still actively improving all areas of the first team squad and facilities.

Obviously if Jai Field became available then you'd prefer FC not to try and sign him I'm guessing, he'd only block Logan Moys pathway afterall haha.

The difference this time around is that the shoots in the scholarship are there. We've got our elite academy license, we've employed the coaches, we've managed to recruit a decent crop of scholars and have changed the whole academy pathways, and are days away from spades going in the ground and a massive shift in facilities for our club.
It has for many years been alot of talk but this is a different Rovers then in years gone by. Youth wasn't valued at all, ask fans within the community game about Rovers priorities and you'll be surprised.
