The 12000 max at KR will most probably bring more atmosphere than your predicted 20000 though at your place hence the rlf giving it to Rovers.

I very much doubt the atmosphere at your ground had anything to do with it.It just screams lack of thought to deny the possibility of an additional 8000 fans seeing the game live and also the loss of revenue for the clubs.
I like the idea of derby matches to start the season but the RFL again show how incompetent they are when they schedule Hull Fc two short turnaround games against HKR following our two trips to Catalan.
A five day turnaround and playing on the Thursday night is ridiculous.

I also like the Idea of derby's to get the season going. With all due respect though, don't think you guy's would have got 20k.

…. with 3 months marketing, I reckon 20k+ would have been more than likely.

Maybe in 2020, subject to both teams being in SL, of course. :)

Time may tell on that. Just think with your biggest of around 17.5 k last season 20k maybe a bit out of reach. Maybe if you didnt end up on such a big losing streak towards the end, Yes maybe hit the Max.

Tough start. We need to hit the ground running or the pressure will really start to mount on radford

Agree with you there looking at the first four fixtures, we could easily be 0/4 and that would really put the pressure on Radford.

Think we need to beat Rovers and that would get rid of the losing run and give us confidence against Cas.

The problem is that no club can get fans through the gate for Thursday night matches.
If the RFL want more fans at the games then surely the first game against HKR should have been at the KC with a possible 20000 crowd as against the 12000 max at HKR.

As the Good Friday fixture is at the KC this season, we were always going to play at CP first.

People seem to blame the RFL by default. These fixtures are entirely the work of Robert Elstone and the Super League owners, including AP.
