We tried him there a couple of seasons ago and he was awful. He wasnt much better against Wigan either. Just because he had one decent game in a friendly is hardly reason to start crowing is it.

His distribution is decent and he is defensively solid, with Super League experience in the position.
By far our best option to cover Houghton.

I cannot understand what you was expecting, when he was thrown into the hooking role against Wigan?

Washbrook stepped in last season having had no real previous time as a no.9 and it worked out.

Hadley spent a fair bit of last season at Wakey covering the 9 position.

Hadley did a reasonable jog at short notice against Wigan and did a good job against St George.
