Like I say - I watch ALL my media vis streaming these days - but I don't think this is a good idea.
its a limitation of choice, which in anyones book is NOT a good thing.

And to answer your question about in 10 years time - hopefully there will be some sort of centralised media BOX (akin to a SKY or VIRGIN box) thats easy enough to use and can cope the myriads of different streaming formats out there atm, so that the technically endowed can at least participate in your vision of the future.

the tech is easy now, people are just lazy when it comes to learning how to use it. I know plenty of people who "hate" technology, but still use it. If you had your way and ideals we'd still be visiting wells and using a horse and cart to travel, Leeds would be a two day ride from Hull. Just think, some ignorant uncaring b@rd had the temerity to invent the wheel, and as for that Marconi bloke, well, like The Romans, "what did he ever do for us"

If only we could get a central bank of people's old videos and DVDs to share, especially from the early 80s when they were first being sold/recorded for sale.

The tech is NOT easy.. not when you have every single content provider using their own cockamamy DRM to restrict you to watching their own stuff (and I'm not talking about pirated stuff / dodgy streaming "boxes" here either)

It *should* be easy . but its not.

If you bothered reading my post then yes I hope in 10 years it WILL all be seamless and integrated. But I rather doubt that - as currently all the content providers want their slice of your wallet.

Final point - I love forums - is't it wonderful how someone with a differing opion can be labelled as "Hitler"....

The proposition that this isn't good for Rugby as a whole stands because it will ultimately make Premier lose subscribers - that could impact their ability to broadcast. (*COULD*)

I guarantee that NOT everyone who sub'd to Premier will pick up the Fox streaming (although they may not need too - who knows what the future holds).

That's my final say on the matter. I'm not going to get caught up in a pointless argument based on opinion on technology.

Anyone who has a different viewpoint/opinion on this forum that doesn't fall into line with certain posters who can act however they like on here gets pilloried, slated, demeaned, and generally bullied in an attempt to get them from posting at all. It's why the vast majority of those that are forum members no longer bother posting at all.
Even when you prove that certain things are true that happen to be a negative against the club certain posters come out including the so called moderators to shoot you down/threaten you despite the clear evidence presented.

You can't even have a discussion about the clubs shirt designs without WWIII breaking out!
