A reality check? About what. I simply stated that I wouldn't want Rovers to win and my reasons why based on my own personal experiences. I expect you got a Mickey Mouse Cup if that's what you were playing for. Winning any competition is an achievement in my opinion and I'd be happy if my club had done the same. Hull's progression to SuperLeague was as legitimate as Rovers, who incidentally would have done exactly the same in the circumstances. Although I don't quite see what that has to do with the Challenge Cup. You seem bitter. You should be reveling in your club's achievement. Instead you're reading a Hull FC forum.
Agreed.
I don't get this romantic notion some KR fans have, that whilst we survived through merger, they on the other hand went back to grass roots and 'built' their way back to SL.
When in reality without a benefactor to stand huge losses every year and the occasional gift of a million pounds, they would still be there.
Yes we survive today from a merger that happened 16 years ago, KR survive today due to a fan who is happy to stump up £500K every year and gifts from mad Arab's.
People in glass houses etc.
BOT - thought KR played well, and rightly deserve their place at Wembley, although I thought Wire were poor (compared to how they played against Wigan a couple of games back).
And I also hope Leeds run riot in the final! But have a good day out, that's what the final is all about.
