Holdsworth is cr@p and the early season opportunity given to him at Cronulla (injuries) has only confirmed that opinion.
A main contributory factor in getting our last coach the bullet in my opinion.

He's good enough to do a job in SL but lacked motivation and commitment. dobson ripped it up over here but likewise looks crap in the NRL

What does Rankin look the best bet for? He's a runner and that's not what we need. I'm happy for him to take over from Horne, but we still don't have a game manager. Miller will be one, he's got the skill set, but is inexperienced.

Pearson can't employ Radford and spout off about how we're going forward with a core of young (preferably, but not exclusively from Hull) players, then expect those players to have us up around the top 6. Look at Warrington, they're in a similar situation to us with young players in important positions and they're woefully inconsistent too.

In all honesty I'd much rather be a bit inconsistent due to youngsters now and reap the rewards a couple of years down the line than have a team full of retirees. Saying that, I wouldn't exactly be disappointed if we brought in Dobson either.

It's daft that Miller can't play at Donny.

Is that still the rule? I know Anthony Gelling from Wigan has been playing dual-reg for Workington. Not sure if it's different for Miller?

All Players (post 18 age group) with the exception of those with an Employer Specific Visa (Tier 2) are eligible to be Dual Registered.

Probably be because Gelling is from the Cook Islands then I imagine. Different type of visa maybe?

I can understand the Visa rules on this, if they let players sign for one club then play for another you'd get all-sorts of con-merchants entering the country this way who are either sub-standard at their sport, or just pulling a fast one to get in the country then disappear.

also British RL shouldn't be importing players who aren't good enough or too young for the SL first-teams IMO
