And that's why for those that can't afford a full season pass or indeed just don't want/need a full pass have a chance to buy lower number/cost match day only type passes (with no associated benefits of a full season pass) with a small discount over full pay on the day prices. It means for those that can't afford a full pass are able to give an advance commitment of some sort and something is better than nothing surely? A 5 match pass @£100 for East/West unreserved for example.
Offering them from the start of the season onwards when literally everyone whom is going to buy a full season pass will have done so would make sense.

Good idea , I'll take 2

Its a good idea. As you say not everyone can afford a pass and some people choose not to buy one because work or other committments might prevent them from attending regularly.

If you know you will only be able to attend 5 or 6 home games a season a pass alllowing you to attend any 5 or 6 games (possibly excluding the derby) is a good idea.

In these difficult times the club needs to be a bit more imaginative in these matters. Hull City are selling half season passes and I believe Rovers have in the past so I don't know why no-one at Hull FC has thought of it.

Bought ours at the weekend. I'm buoyed by the 150th celebrations and after nearly 40 years supporting them, it's hard to break the habit. I'd love to see 9,000 sold overall, but only a cup-winning season will help that next year, or at least a Grand Final appearance.

Pearson's bought into the club in a way that I cannot. Another season of experiencing some highs and lows, but that's life as an FC fan.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I'd have thought RH would have put this on their website by now - seems they are more interested in Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United, and to a lesser extent City.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;

Re: AP : Thu Nov 27, 2014 8:15 pm
The idea of passes allowing 5/6 matches is a good one, but not in unreserved area's. If you sell say 500 of these 250 of which is in the East that effectively ties down 250 seats in the unreserved area for every match as you do not know which match they will go to. We may have a great run and the floaters come back in droves unable to sit in the East stand even though there could be loads of empty seats.

You also have to keep 10% of unreserved area's deviod of bottoms as required by the law, at Hull city all the seats are allocated and they can offer half season passes on specific seats. Its a mine field and one I feel we do not really need at this time, I can imagine a few people who would buy a pass for say KR, SAINTS, WIGAN, LEEDS AND WIRE cherry picking.

We have been good in retaining fans in the face of the recession,falling interest in the game and poor performances. Overall we are better placed then most, but we are in the last chance saloon next term will be make or break.

It might. Then again, in future seasons everyone who missed games due to unforeseen circs might opt to buy one of these rather than the full pass.

Correct. I buy a pass to keep my seat but miss at least 2/3 games a season due to various factors. If I could buy a pass so I could pick and chose then that would be more attractive.
