£40-50k rumoured by both sets of fans. Seems a lot for a 17 year old winger, particularly one who at Rovers would be behind Cockayne, Sio, Mantellato, Dixon and possibly Dave Hodgson too, I think he would have got more first team opportunities with us tbh. He's got a real instinct for scoring tries, for sure, and I think he's got great potential. Disappointing news.
My guess is that Eden will be leaving and one of those you've listed will be used at fullback. That is a lot of money for a young and inexperienced player. But if he would still be young enough to count as club-trained for us (I can't be bothered to check the rules), that might be worth a bit of a premium and could be considered as an investment - one that might not pay off, but wouldn't cost a fortune, relative to the general costs of producing club-trained players.

Lots of rumours doing the rounds on this one. I heard that he (Lancaster) wanted 40k contract. Hull laughed at it and refused to offer him what he wanted. Since, Lancaster has took it upon himself to manufacture his release and move to Rovers by breaking club rules, i.e not reporting to training etc. Rovers are willing to pay the 40k a year he wants.
Absolute bollards if you ask me, but if Rovers were to sign him it would be more to do with d!ck measuring again, akin to the Paul Cooke signing.
I'm not so keen on him trying to get out of a contract, if that is true. Although he's a bit further on, it'd seem more comparable with Hull taking Jordan Abdul from us a couple of years ago. IMO. Should we never try to poach their young players? I'd want a reciprocal agreement, and even then loopholes and convenient interpretations would be a worry (on both sides, I'm sure)
