Club can't do any right in some people's eyes.

We lacked investment, had no marquee players and a poor coaching set up.

We now have investment, going to have 3 marquee players, above the cap, new coaching set up. Our recruitment far from over, a new coach coming in and Myler only been here 4 weeks.

Let's give the club and Myler a chance to at least finish his first round of recruitment.

You're speaking the words but not getting the point...

'above the cap'...'3 marquee players'

None of the marquee players are internationals and all have suffered restricting injuries that often reoccur...'above the cap' having signed, on multi year deals, a 30yr old, 2 x 32yr olds, a 33yr old, a 34yr old, so far, some best described as journeymen, some clearly mercenary, and all on their last payday.

None of whom have the remotest chance of 'success'.

Not even certain that any new coach will/would want any of these players. Asiata eg plays a particular way for the modern game and not every coach likes to play that way.

It's farcical. Imagine what a well run club could have done with the millions now committed to contracts for pretty much nothing aside a non-bottom 2 finish...and then repeat.

Hull Live saying Pele to be loaned to York for fitness

What a great winter for recruitment, we'd honestly have been better going down the job centre and shouting 'anyone played Rugby at all?'

The only marquee player that has been confirmed is Asiata.

Nice to see you backing the club. Another who thinks he knows better than those in charge and not willing to give them a chance to actually put some plans together.

IF we can keep them both fit, Trueman and Abdul could compliment each other well and be a good halfback pairing, they're basically the opposite of each other, Trueman is a fast elusive runner, but doesn't have a brilliant kicking game and isn't an organiser. Abdul has the best kicking game in the league, is an organiser (and not a runner of the ball) could work well, but the worry for me is keeping them both fit, I'm more worried about Trueman suffering another long term injury than Abdul

sorry Steve but Trueman is not a fast elusive runner. He had a bit of pace whilst at Castleford but the injury before he joined us put paid to that.
He is a good ball handler, with a rugby brain and decent pass but doesnt run the ball enough and when he did occassionaly last season you could see there was no real pace there.
He was made to look better last season because Clifford was outstanding.
Keep watching him you will see what i am saying

Pearson has had 7 years to get it right but has got it wrong every time.

Some people are happy with groundhog day and massive under-achievement and watching end of career mercenaries pocket easy, no pressure, cash...and that is what is going to be served up yet again.

Massive change in mentality needed right though the club...but if Richie's wife and father in law want to waste some money for a few years good luck to them...it won't change anything, won't last and the club/Pearson will be worse off at the end.

What kind of 'professional' sporting organisation gives a bloke THE top job because his wife throws a few quid in?

No they aren't. Don't talk nonsense. You're like another poster on here, you think if people don't slate the club on every post they are happy wth the status quo.

We've made one signing for 2025 as it stands, lets see who the other six or even are before we start throwing the towel in.

The obscene player I’d like us to be linked with is Angus Crichton. Would never happen as far too good for SL but the Roosters have messed him around don’t seem to want to keep him.

Would start the season at 29 and a 3 year marquee contract should be put in front of him. Would undoubtedly get rejected but would show we mean business

Here’s a theory… maybe Adam Pearson has realised he’s majority got it wrong for the past 7 years and wants to make it right. Myler has been in his post for four weeks and people are apparently expecting some kind of miracle…. This season is an absolute right off- however, at the beginning of the season, I didn’t expect a raft of investment, new restructuring And a more positive outlook in regards to recruitment. I cannot understand how people can constantly bemoan the club- you must be so unhappy. Negativity breeds negativity. After all, you are a ‘supporter’ right?
