I really dont see any point bringing in short term signings or loans for this season.Costs extra money and offers no real value.
The fans can see now what the club are trying to do and realise it all revolves around investment money coming into the club.
A simple statement from Pearson to the fans to confirm that the club are putting all their efforts into signings for next season including hopefully some real quality would suffice.
It would also offer a great opportunity for some of our younger players to get a longer run of games than they would normally have expected.
Sao and Brown are available again next week and we have Walker,Trueman,Mitch,Fash and Ashworth to come back in.
We are likely to be on the end of some drubbings particiularly on Friday at Saints but keep the communication with fans and they will understand.
Good to see Balmforth back in the squad. He should play on Friday as we need a bit more size and pace.Seemed obvious Tinkering Tony either didnt like him or rate him.
Maybe give Hodgson his debut at nine off the bench and play Balmforth at 13
Good post, and although I get the opportunity to further give our emerging youth more game time, it’s a balancing act isn’t it, superleague is a brutal unforgiving sport, and as we have already seen with Stavely, who acquitted himself so well, we must remember if we had a strong first team, perhaps we would drop them in occasionally, as Saints Wigan etc will, so for me if the chance this season to induct more experienced players comes along, we should grab it, Charles, Martin Balmforth have years in front of them.
