I think the fact is he is a good player and good players will have impact regardless. I saw us rushing up to try and pressure his kicks. ATEOTD if we'd caught a bomb of his and put some basic defence in on the line we would have won easily and nobody would have been talking about him.

Interesting article about what a good coach should be by Phil Gould here http://www.smh.com.au/news/lhqnews/on-a ... 01772.html It's about Freddy Fittler and Brian Smith but includes some great insights on coaching skills and failings. It wasn't so much Agars lack of a plan as the fact that even for a derby it seemed to take a punch up to gee the players up not his pre game motivation etc. If we can't have Smith maybe get Gould in to do a review for us and provide the sort of support he talks about?
